#6 of 13 ways of being that patients find attractive is being certain.
One way to express certainty is to avoid making promises for which you have little or no control. Such as agreeing to treat a patient's symptoms.
When you accept patients on the basis that you will be using adjustments to treat their ache or pain, you've left chiropractic and entered the world of medicine. Certainty is sure to elude you.
Instead, make sure every patient understands you'll be addressing the underlying cause of his or her particular health problem. As nervous system integrity is restored, their body will have less need to express the symptoms that have prompted them to seek care.
Chiropractic care is a partnership. The results patients want is a combination of what you do and what the patient does. Establish clear boundaries and you'll have greater certainty than any doctor they've ever consulted.
