If you're asking for legal advice, I can't help you.
Our understanding, based on reliable sources (who teach chiropractors HIPAA compliance) that as long as a specific diagnosis is not included, it's not a problem.
Not acceptable:
"Time to get back in for that low back of yours."
Acceptable:
"How's your golf game going? Time for a checkup?"
Obviously, if a patient says, "Stop sending me those darn reminder cards," discontinue at once!
