Dear Bill...

What is your opinion of sEMG machines? Do you feel more inclined in this day and age of "show me the money" that patients would really benefit and more easily come to a decision about long term care by using it?

My Response:

If I were in practice I would rely on surface EMG. For several reasons:

1. It makes chiropractic about nerves, not bones.
2. It provides a power visual image to plot a patient's progress.
3. It supplies proof of the need for continued care beyond relief.
4. It is accurate, high tech, objective and noninvasive.

I have seen many practitioners get a new lease on life after bringing EMG into their practices and things take off. Others treat it almost as an adjunctive procedure and the effect is short lived.

If you're inclined to add this tool to your protocol, I strongly recommend the
CLA product. With the purchase (or lease) of the equipment you get the Total Solutions seminar (I've been through it--it's an incredible experience) that helps implant the headspace needed to fully benefit from the technology.
