Implementing the Making Choices Video
 |
We've bundled some of our most popular patient education
tools into a convenient package. Here's how most offices
implement these tools and create consistent new patient
protocol.

When a new patient enters the office, the staff greets them
in the usual way and has them immediately see this pre-report
video without delay.
The chiropractic assistant introduces "Making Choices":
Dr. _____ would like you to see this 6-minute video
before she explains what was found at your examination yesterday.
This way youll be prepared for some of the decisions
youll be making in the days and weeks ahead.
The VCR or DVD is started, the staff confirms that everything
is working properly (including the volume) then quietly leaves
the room.
If the patient is in too much pain or balks at watching a
video, simply respond, "No problem, the doctor will be
with you in just a few moments," and you revert to your
non-video visit procedures.
If the patient is viewing the video in another room and the
staff cannot hear the sound from their work area, consider
using a timer to monitor the progress of the video to avoid
leaving the patient alone, unattended after the completion
of the video.
When the video is over the doctor enters the room to deliver
the report of findings or the patient is escorted to the area
of the office where it will be delivered.
