Relief & Wellness Patient Newsletter
Design Fee
We're often asked what the $65 Design Fee includes. Here's
an overview of what this nominal fee covers and why we must
charge it for each quarterly issue:
AdministrativeSetting up files to organize and track
your order. With so many customers, file organization is important.
ScanningDigitizing your photographs, logos or submitted
line art.
Data inputKeystroking or OCR of your submitted patient testimonials
or other text. You'd be surprised what we get! Everything
from a cut and paste mock-up to a doctor's handwritten outline.
Someone has to decipher it and put it into usable form. This
takes staff time, which is included in the Designer Fee.
RetouchingSizing, correcting imperfections and grayscale
conversion of your photographs and images. Scanning logos
from business cards often require tedious, time-consuming retouching.
DesignIntegrating your text and images into the newsletter
template. Getting the text to fit just right can be laborious.
CopywritingNeed some additional text? Want an article
"From the Desk of..." for your Personalization Panel?
No problem. And no additional charge. It's included in your
Design Fee.
Clip artSecuring any additional images to enhance your
supplied text such as a holiday motif or filigree coupon border.
First ProofFaxing the personalized pages for your review
and approval until you're happy. It usually only takes one
fax, but sometimes it takes more. Covered.
UpdateOpening the file and making any corrections
to the newsletter design that you request until we get it
exactly like you want it.
File conversionCreating the optimized Postscript files
for printing the actual newsletter and final proof.
Final ProofPrinting two final proof copies on the actual
paper stock for your approval before we print the bulk of
your order.
PostagePriority Mail charges to send your two proof
copies of the final design.
UpdatingMaking any further corrections and if needed,
making still another proof until you are delighted with your
issue.
PackagingPackaging your printed newsletters for UPS
so they arrive promptly and in good condition at your office
or named mail preparation facility.
Return or store elementsWe either store your newsletter
materials for future issues or return them to you at our expense.
Whew! That's a lot of work for US $65.00. And it's something
we do with every issue and for every doctor. May we personalize the current issue for you?
