This business card design has the symbol of a hamsa, which is an ancient symbol from Arabic and Israeli culture. The hamsa hand (Arabic or hamesh hand (Hebrew) is an old and still popular amulet for magical protection from the envious or evil eye. The words hamsa and hamesh mean “five” and refer to the digits of the hand. I like to think of this symbol as the hand of God with a watchful all-seeing eye, protecting us and delivering good health and healing from above to us below.
