Monday Morning Motivation | Least Profitable Duties
#3 of 13 questions to ask yourself: What are my least profitable practice duties?
The division of labor has helped propel our civilization forward. If we each had to produce the food we eat, that's pretty much all we would do. But thankfully, others attend to that, permitting each of us to contribute in other ways.
Chances are, you're doing some task or procedure that could or should be delegated to someone else, freeing you to do the highly lucrative things that only you can do. To justify doing these delegable things ourselves, we either find them pleasurable or assume that no one can do them to our standards. The first is a luxury you probably can't afford if you want to grow your practice and the other is a training issue.
This week take an inventory of tasks you could delegate to someone else. Or better yet, discontinue altogether.
