Monday Morning Motivation | Goodbye Without a Thank You
#13 of 13 questions to ask yourself: Why do patients leave without a thank you or goodbye?
While most new patient relationships begin with a bang, they often end with a whimper. Because most patients rarely feel comfortable announcing their last visit and sharing their appreciation for your help.
When you care about their health more than they do, many patients become reluctant to reveal their intention to end their care fearing that...
1. You'll take it as a personal rejection, or
2. You'll try to talk them out of their decision.
Either has the potential of being embarrassing, uncomfortable or confrontational. So the solution many patients choose is to continue making (and breaking) appointments with little intent of keeping them. Problem solved.
Instead, talk about the goodbye process in the beginning. "When you've enough chiropractic care, let us know so we can celebrate and close your case file properly."
